No injuries were reported following a house fire in Milton early Wednesday morning.

It happened on Drysdale Crescent, near Louis Saint Laurent Avenue and Ontario Street South, shortly before 4 a.m.

Crews were able to extinguish the fire and are currently on scene dealing with hotspots.

Milton Fire Chief Dave Pratt said the two occupants of the home managed to get out safely and no injuries were reported.

“The couple that resides in the house were woken up by noise in the garage. The gentleman that owns the house went to open the garage door from the interior (and) the garage was full of flames,” Pratt said.

“(He) yelled at his wife to call 9-1-1 and they both exited the building.”

Officials have not yet provided an estimate on damage.
