    • The victim, a community affairs in 78th Precinct in the Prospect Heights, was headed into the station house garage at around 7.20pm Wednesday
    • She had been heading toward a van in the garage when the metal gate slammed down on her legs 
    • Unidentified officer was taken to New York-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital
    • As she was headed to the hospital, the officer was conscious and spoke with her colleagues

    A NYPD officer in Brooklyn had a malfunctioning garage gate come crashing down on her Wednesday, pinning her legs. 

    The victim, a community affairs officer in 78th Precinct in the Prospect Heights neighborhood in Brooklyn, was headed into the station house garage at around 7.20pm. 

    She had been heading toward a van in the garage when the metal gate slammed down on her legs, the New York Daily News reports.
