    A former London Transit employee is charged after a bus was stolen from its headquarters and police were led on a wild pursuit that ended in a nearby town.

    London Transit officials are investigating, too, after police say a woman got in a city bus parked inside a London Transit Commission building at 450 Highbury Ave., north of Trafalgar Street, around 3:15 a.m. Saturday.

    After trying to back the bus through a garage door, the woman entered a second bus in the same garage and drove it through another door, police said.

    Police spotted the bus downtown, where the driver ran several red lights and struck a parked vehicle and fence. Officers followed at a distance while the bus headed south on Highbury Avenue. Near Wilton Grove Road, OPP officers used a spike belt to deflate the vehicle’s tires, police said.

    But the driver didn’t stop, continuing south to Belmont, where the bus ended up in a ditch around 4 a.m. London police…
